Our career started in 2001 with the Electric Icon Land, a website based in a town block designed in pixelart style and our first product besides the website itself were free icons for Windows and Macintosh. After a strong success our hobby suddenly evolved into a professional business, and after three years we founded the Pixeltemple Studio. Our old website is still active and we keep it like a proud piece of art in our museum, a trophy for our achieved goals.
Currently the Pixeltemple is composed by Michelle Lang, a freelancer designer graduated in Industrial Design, Visual Communication by the Federal University of Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
We are among the first people in Brazil to work with pixel art, initially developing icons for software interface and later entering the field of illustration and website development. We are very proud to work based on friendship and trust. All of our customers became kind friends at the end of their projects.
Our inspirations will ever be the good music and the “oldskool” video games. We love jazz, groove and rock’n roll – to name a few: Miles Davis, Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers, Isaac Hayes, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and Beatles. Cats and Japanese video gaming is also our passion.
